We went to this awesome museum in TN that houses fossils from the late.. um.. something era. Clearly I don't remember the specifics, but- back in the day, there was a watering hole that many animals (tapirs, red pandas, rhinos, elephants) fell into and became fossilized. Fast forward to the modern age, and the Tennessee Dept of Transportation was bulldozing this spot for a new road. Luckily for us, they found some of the fossils, re-routed the road, and the site is now a continuous dig. Cool!
Here Sirena and Ziggy are playing paleontologist in one of the many for-kids exhibits the museum has.
Pop quiz: Who can remember what this museum is called?
